The 23 year old Spanish golfer Adrian Otaegu says he is very much satisfied and happy with the way he is currently performing in the European tour.
His best ever finish in a European tournament was a 69 he achieved at the Lyoness Open. He was second best in the tournament and hopes to build on this good journey by winning a title soon. He has so far participated in 18 events this season and is currently in the 80th position.
Even though his performance at the Lyoness Open in June was praiseworthy, he could not follow this good run of form into the other tournaments like the BMW Open, 100th Open de France and Scottish Open. He ended Scottish Open with T101 position. Otaegu is happy that finished the last day of Lyoness Cup on 12 under par just a shot behind the eventual champion Ashun Wu.
The result of the Lyoness event is considered to be the most remarkable achievement of his career and was in great putting form throughout the tournament. Otaegu said that he was at his competing best for all the 18 holes and this is what is most important for him. Winning or losing is secondary, but being able to give tough competition on the golf course is what he desires to do always.
Otaegu is pleased with the two birdies that he made at the Lyoness Open in the 15th and the 16th holes. He is ashamed of dropping a shot on the 17th. He is happy that fought tooth and nail till the end and this is why he came very close to winning the title. Otaegu is happy with his current form and wants to see more similar results in his future matches. With patience and more skill from his side, Otaegu is a name to reckon with in the European golf circuit.
