Paulina Gretzky, the daughter of the legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky has become engaged to be married to professional golfer and US PGA Tour member Dustin Johnson after barely months of dating, it has been announced by the pair.

Gretzky and Johnson only hooked at the beginning of the new golf season when Paulina was sighted cheering her man on from among the crowd at the season opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions that the American went on to win and after barely months of romance, the two have announced their engagement from their verified Twitter accounts.

Both Johnson and Gretzky have a lot of followers on their official Twitter accounts and both took to the popular social networking medium to announce their engagement with Paulina stating that he had become engaged where as Dustin Johnson posted a photo of a large diamond ring on his fiancé’s finger with the words ‘’she said yes’’, which was there-tweeted by his better-half, along with several messages of congratulations from both their family members and friends.

Trevor Gretzky, the younger brother of Paulina as well as a young prospect on the roster of the Chicago Cubs also posted a message on his official Twitter account congratulating his sister and future brother in law for their engagement and impeding marriage.

The 29 year old Dustin Johnson, who has six seasons as >a professional on the US PGA Tour, has already won seven titles on the Tour and is considered the country’s next big hope in the major championships as well as a future Hall of Famer and is also one of the most consistent golfers on the Tour for the United States at the moment.

Although no date has been announced for their marriage, it is being believed that 2014 will see the two tie the knot.
